The brewery (Weisbierbrauerei Hopf), founded in 1910, is located in the foothills of the Alps, about 50km south of Munich. Nestled in the beautiful village of Miesbach, it is presently being run by the third generation of the Hopf family. They recently received the most prestigious award in the German brewing industry, the "Prize for the Best of the Best," for producing outstanding beers for the last 15 years.
