As one might imagine, the staff here at the
Duke of Bourbon has the opportunity to taste many wines during the course of a week. Almost all are good, some very good, but occasionally we find one that we feel we simply must offer our customers. We have such a wine today.
Brookdale Vineyards 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon is a great example of the latter. We tasted it, looked at each other and, almost as one, put our glasses out for a chance to retaste this limited-production gem from the Napa Valley. Only about 500 cases were made from some of Napa's choicest vineyards. There are black cherry and raspberry notes in the aroma and on the palate, with some cedar and vanilla from the barrel noticeable. Tannins are firm, but smooth and silky. The balance is near-perfect and the finish is long and intense.
Brookdale Vineyards is owned by the delightful Kristi Seitz. You may have met Kristi if you have ever stopped by the Soda Canyon Store on the Silverado Trail. In addition to owning the store, Kristi is also a partner in the winery 14 Appellations.
The Duke's retail price is $45.00 for Kristi's gem. We are happy to offer it at $239.94 per 6-pack
($39.99 per bottle).

Summer heat can damage your wine! The Duke does not recommend out-of-state ground shipments during the summer months. If you're unable to pick up your order, we will gladly hold it here until cooler weather. If you would like your wine right away, we will be happy to ship by air - overnight or 2 - or 3 - day service.
