Many of you have waited an entire year for this announcement: Hundred Acre 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon is in the store! Ever since the first vintage, Hundred Acre has been one of the most sought-after, hardest-to-find wines in the world. Robert
Parker has had nothing but praise all along. Here is what he said about this vintage: "
The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan Vineyard, which will be in the bottle by the time this report is published, seems like a cross between Pomerol's garagiste estate, Le Pin, and a flamboyant vintage of Cheval Blanc. This exotic, nearly over-the-top effort may not be as thick and juicy as the 2003, but aromatically, it is seductive and complex. Exhibiting opulence, elegance, and purity, along with abundant quantities of creme de cassis, cherries, sweet oak, and spice characteristics, low acidity, ripe tannin, and a multilayered texture, this sumptuous Cabernet should drink well for 10-15 years. Hundred Acre has been a perennial super-performer since the first vintage, the 2000, which I tasted with proprietor Jayson Woodbridge and winemaker Philippe Melka, and am happy to report is drinking beautifully at present."
The Duke is proud to be one of Hundred Acre's primary retail accounts and is excited to offer this world-class wine to you. We have it priced at $265.00 per bottle. It is available in beautiful, custom-made 3-packs at $795.00 each.
We still have a few bottles of Hundred Acre 2004 Shiraz, Ancient Way available at the same price as the Cabernet Sauvignon. Only 600 cases of this down-under beauty were produced, so be sure to score at least a bottle or two for your cellar.
