Fine arts, fine food and fine wine always seem to go together. The
Duke has been an active sponsor of the
New West Symphony and especially their youth outreach programs. Please take a look at the following invitation and give serious consideration to joining us on June 24, 2007.
We would like to invite you to attend the
Symphony of Wine VII charity wine dinner and auction on
Sunday, June 24, 2007, at 3:00 PM.
The event will be held at the NEW Westlake Village Four Seasons Hotel and Spa, located at the Lindero Canyon exit off the 101 Freeway, just 15 minutes north of Woodland Hills.
This year, the Symphony of Wine has chosen to honor Justin & Debbie Baldwin, the owners of Justin Vineyard and Winery, as their Maestros of Food & Wine. They are the first couple we have honored and they follow in the footsteps of past Maestros Dan Duckhorn of Duckhorn Winery, Tom Shelton of Joseph Phelps Winery, David Breitstein of the Duke of Bourbon, Ken Volk of Kenneth Volk Vineyards and, formerly, Wild Horse Winery, Frank Ostini of Hitching Post Restaurant and Winery and Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climat.
This promises to be another exciting event! This year we are featuring a Taste of the Seasons, with the outstanding cuisine prepared on the spot by four talented chefs from Four Seasons hotels . . . the exciting live auction will be conducted by famed auctioneer Tom DiNardo . . . dinner wines will come from renowned wineries such as Justin Winery, Au Bon Climat, Joseph Phelps Vineyards, Long Vineyards, and Hitching Post . . . all reasons to attend the 2007 Symphony of Wine.
The attendance is limited, which gives everyone the chance to get into the bidding and bring home a desired lot. Although the following description of the auction lots is very general, a complete catalog will be available one week before the event.
