The Duke has found yet another sensational Cabernet Sauvignon - this one from the Tulocay area (soon to be an official AVA) in Napa Valley. We would like to present for your consideration Silver Stag 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine comes with an impressive pedigree. Harry Parsley (native of the San Fernando Valley, home of the Duke of Bourbon) brought the Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma to prominence in the mid-1990s. He had always wanted to own his own vineyard and he found the perfect spot in the Tulocay area just east of the town of Napa. From Tulocay's rich soil, mild climate, long growing season, and distinctive terroir, Harry has made a dark and muscular wine. Hear what the WineSpectator had to say as they awarded the wine 90 points on their 100-point scale: "This immense young wine exhibits intense currant, spice, wild berry and mocha flavors framed by tight, chewy tannins that coat the palate.
