Joseph Phelps Vineyards 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, Innisfree
This special cuvee is produced in limited quantities and is intended as an everyday drinking wine in the Phelps spectrum of Cabernet Sauvignon. This new vintage certainly has lots of fruit and substance! The color is deep ruby with aromas of cherries, spicy oak and some citrus. Good acidity and nice tannins support the delicious cherry and cocoa/mocha notes on the palate. Normally retailing for $25.00, the Duke's price - $19.99 per bottle. Bricco Buon Natale 2003 Barbera
We here at the Duke are always thrilled when one of our good friends gets some national media attention. Take last week, for instance, when Jim Clendenen's Cal-Ital effort, Bricco Buon Natale Barbera, was featured in an article by LA Times columnist Corie Brown.

Jim is best-known for his Burgundian efforts under the Au Bon Climat label, but he has made outstanding Cal-Ital wines for many years featuring fruit from the famed Bien Nacido Vineyard (pictured). Looking at that gorgeous landscape, one understands why so many fabulous wines are produced from there.

Chaparral 2004 Chardonnay
One of the things we love here at the Duke is a high-quality wine that is easily affordable. Working with Jim Clendenen (of Au Bon Climat fame), we have developed a sensational wine at a price that makes it ideal for parties and receptions.
