Well, boys and girls, the Duke behaved himself this year. Last year we sorta jumped the gun on announcing the release of Silver Oak's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It took great restraint not to do it again this year, but we held off.

We can't hold off any longer. The wine is just too good to keep it out of your hands another day. So, here goes.

For the many among us who enjoy the temptation of tasting notes, try these comments from the winemaker: "The 1999 Silver Oak Napa Valley is a deep, rich Cabernet Sauvignon with a garnet color and a concentrated nose of cocoa, cassis syrup, coffee, and black licorice. It is extremely full-bodied on the palate and has an incredibly long finish . . ."

Simply put, a sensational wine! Then again, saying sensational and Silver Oak in the same email borders on being redundant.

The Duke is offering the 1999 Napa Valley at $99.50 per bottle. We must limit purchases to 6 bottles, but, if you buy six, we'll make the price $95.00 per bottle. We also have magnums available for $225.00 each. We are also offering a combo-pak of 3 of the 1999 Napa and 3 of the 1999 Alexander at a very special price of $450.00. This special pricing is available only on orders received by February 28, 2004.

We also have many older vintages of Silver Oak and Silver Oak in grand formats.
