March Merlot Madness at the Duke
Last year, the Duke engaged Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climat to make a cost-effective, drinkable Merlot for the good friends of the Duke. Jim more than answered the challenge and made a wine that has exceeded all expectations in terms of the taste and quality of the wine. If you don't make it to the store very often, you might not have tasted this sensational wine. We want to give those of you who have tried the wine a chance to try it again and those of you who haven't an opportunity to try this outstanding Merlot for an incredibly low price.

Initially, we had been looking for a wine in the $15 to 16.00-per-bottle price range. With Jim's help, we were able to maintain the quality and still offer it in the store for $12.99. The Duke Merlot is a bargain at that price! The wine has steadily gained popularity over the last few months as more and more people tried it and came back for more.
