Great Wines Still Available

We've made a lot of exciting offerings in our e-mails during the last few weeks. In the musical theater there is often a reprise of one or two of the songs that develop the story or that especially please the audience. Please take this as a reprise of the last few offerings that the Duke has made. We feel that this reprise both develops our story and, hopefully, pleases the audience (that would be you). We are trying to keep this e-mail short; all the details are available at our new Virtual Vine-Line.

HdV (Hyde de Villaine) - DRC meets the Napa Valley. Here is a chance to obtain the first vintage (2000) of the joint venture of Aubert de Villaine of Romanče-Conti and Larry Hyde. We have managed to cadge some extra Chardonnay ($50) from the winery. Noted wine consultant, Ron Weigand, who is both a Master of Wine and a Master Sommelier, has called this the finest California Chardonnay he has ever tasted.

Dunn 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon, Howell Mountain ($69.99) - Randy Dunn's classic wine is still available. We asked for more wine for our clients and, happily, the winery has responded by increasing our allocation. Magnums are still available, also ($139.99).

Silver Oak 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley ($99.50 or $95.00 for 6 or more) - We still have some of this super-premium California Cabernet Sauvignon. Truly America's wine.

Hundred Acre 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon ($150.00) - The response to the initial offering of this incredible entry into the super-cult field was startling. Winery owner, Jayson Woodbridge, has allotted us additional wine to offer to our valued customers. A show-stopper!

Amuse Bouche 2000 ($250.00 100% deposit required) - Heidi Barrett's entry into the super-cult category is a Pomerol-style killer that promises to rival the best from that area. We still have a limited amount available on a futures basis

Paraduxx 2000 ($43.00 or $255.00 per 6-pack) - Dan Duckhorn emulates the super-Tuscans by blending Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon to make an incredibly delicious wine. The Wine News thought the 1999 vintage was the second best red blend of the vintage. We think the 2000 vintage is better than the 1999!

Long Vineyards 1998 Chardonnay, Melanson Vineyard ($12.00 or $132.00 per case) - We still have a few cases of this wine left. We served it recently at one of our restaurant events and were nearly overwhelmed with the response. Superior quality - half price; you don't often hear those words in the same sentence.

Jarvis 1999 Chardonnay (Was $42.00, now $21.00 or $240.00 per case) - While we are on that superior quality "half price" page, here is a reminder that we still have a limited quantity of this exceptional wine value.

Chateau Woltner 1998 Chardonnay ($6.99 or $72.00 per case) - Another incredible deal on premium Napa Valley Chardonnay. This is the last opportunity to obtain this excellent wine. They are replanting the vineyard on Howell Mountain to Cabernet Sauvignon.

And a grand finale! We haven't mentioned this in our previous communiqués, but we have a limited amount of Pahlmeyer 2000 Merlot ($89.99) and Caymus 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, Special Selection ($135.00).
