This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese (the main grape used in Chianti). It was aged for 14 months in 20% new French oak. The aromatics are exceptionally ripe and rich with strawberry and raspberry jam, cocoa, sweet spice, walnut and chocolate-covered orange slices. The flavors in the mouth fall in line with the rich, almost exotic aromas. It goes great with food, especially with robust meats, pastas with red sauces and even pizza.
