With great pleasure, we invite you to join us on Thursday, October 7, 1999, as we usher in the harvest season with our special "HARVEST OF FRIENDS" seminar. We have gathered an exciting crop of wonderful wines and congenial guests from a hand-picked bunch of excellent wineries: AL & BOOTS BROUNSTEIN of DIAMOND CREEK VINEYARDS; TIM & MIMI SPEAR of CLOS MIMI; KARA PECOTA DUNN of ROBERT PECOTA WINERY; and KENT ROSENBLUM of ROSENBLUM CELLARS.

DIAMOND CREEK VINEYARDS, located at the northern end of the Napa Valley in Calistoga just west of Highway 29, produces some of the world's most exceptional red wines. We are happy to welcome our friends, proprietors Al & Boots Brounstein, back for a return engagement of last year's smashing success to present their 1998 vineyard-designated Cabernet Sauvignons. The harvest report from winemaker Phil Steinschriber suggests wines of rich fruit and exceptional body. We are proud to continue the long-standing tradition of being the only consumer group to have the opportunity to taste barrel samples and offer futures of the dynamic Diamond Creek wines.

CLOS MIMI, the exciting new Central Coast winery owned by our friends Tim & Mimi Spear, produces just one great wine -- California Syrah. Their 1996 Syrah, Shell Creek Vineyard just received a score of 92 from Robert Parker! He called it "immensely impressive" and "brilliant." We held the world premiere of this wine at our "Super Seminar" last December. Now, we are pleased to have Tim & Mimi back to hold the world premiere of their 1997 version, which will be released December 1, 1999. The Duke of Bourbon is honored to be the only retail outlet in the country to represent this gem of a wine.

ROBERT PECOTA WINERY, situated in Calistoga one half mile north of Tubbs Lane and west of the Silverado Trail, was founded in 1978 by our friend Robert Pecota, who is known for producing outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Muscat Blanc predominantly from his own estate vineyards. We were proud to be associated with Bob and his excellent wines during the winery's formative years. In fact, he once dedicated his famous "Flora" dessert wine to us with the label designation of "Breitstein's Select Late Harvest." As we watched the development of his winery, we also observed the growth of Bob's three children. We are particularly delighted to welcome Bob's charming eldest daughter, Kara Pecota Dunn, to help showcase an exciting array of current Pecota releases.

ROSENBLUM CELLARS, is located in the San Francisco Bay Area community of Alameda in a Turn-of-the-Century shipyard building. Our new friend, Dr. Kent Rosenblum, is a veterinarian who dabbled in home winemaking and then started his own winery in 1978. Over the last 20 years, he has emerged as one of the leading producers of world-class California Zinfandels. Rosenblum Cellars produces 14-16 different vineyard-designated Zinfandels each vintage. Kent's unique production techniques are closely tied with the traditional Burgundian methods (although, he does not produce Pinot Noir). In addition to the presentation of three of his finest Zinfandels, Kent will share his fantastic Late Harvest Chardonnay - a truly rare wine!

The cost for this seminar is $35.00 each for the member and the first guest. Additional guest and non-member reservations are $39.00 each. Full payment must accompany your reservation. No tickets are issued; you will be notified if your reservation cannot be accepted. Cancellation deadline for full refund is October 5.
