We are delighted to invite you to join us on Thursday, August 28, 1997, for a "SUMMER BONANZA" of absolutely wonderful wines and entertaining guests. Our two featured winemakers for this evening are Bob Long of Long Vineyards, located in the St. Helena area of Napa Valley east of the Silverado Trail high atop the picturesque Pritchard Hill overlooking Lake Hennessey, and Forrest Tancer of Iron Horse Vineyards, located out among the firs and redwoods at the far western edge of Sonoma County's Russian River Valley in the lovely Sonoma-Green Valley. Both Bob and Forrest are long-time friends of ours who have been guests of The Wine Association on numerous occasions. It is a pleasure to welcome them, once again, to share their vast winemaking knowledge as we present several outstanding wines from both of their wineries, including the unique Iron Horse Sparkling Birthday Cuvee created especially for the Duke of Bourbon.
For additional excitement, we will premiere the long awaited 1994 Opus One, which is scheduled to be released on October 1, as well as the ever-popular Silver Oak 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley, which will have been released just prior to our event. An added treat will be the debut of the Arns 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Sandi Belcher, co-winemaker at Long Vineyards. Sandi's 1993 wine was extremely well received at this time last year and we anticipate the same for the 1994. And, in case all of these great wines aren't enough, we will have a couple of very special surprises.

The cost for this seminar is $33.00 for the member and the first guest. Additional guests and non-member reservations are $37.50 each. Full payment must accompany your reservation. No tickets will be issued; you will be notified if your reservation cannot be accepted. Cancellation deadline for a full refund is August 26. While bread and cheese will be serves, we recommend that you have dinner prior to the event.
