With the outstanding selection of world-class wines of Far Niente paired with the magnificent, imaginative cuisine of Posto, we can promise you "AN EVENING TO REMEMBER."

FAR NIENTE (meaning "Without a Care") was founded originally in 1885. After laying dormant for 60 years, the property was purchased in 1979 by Gil Nickel, who meticulously restored both the beautiful grounds and the handsome stone winery building. Certainly one of Napa Valley's most beautiful, creative, state-of-the-art wineries, Far Niente has succeeded in its ultimate goal to produce world-class wines on a world-class American wine estate.

LARRY MAGUIRE, Far Niente's Managing Director and partner, joined the winery in 1983 after many years of experience at other well-known Napa Valley wineries. Along with Gil Nickel and third partner Dirk Hampson (Far Niente's winemaker), he has been involved in establishing the winery's dynamic, classic wine style of consistent quality and rich, elegant flavors. We know you will appreciate Larry's vast knowledge and warm, charismatic personality as he helps us present several vintages of their outstanding Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons, as well a very special surprise tasting experience during the evening.

In 1995, the partnership of Larry, Gil and Dirk created DOLCE, the world-class American late-harvest dessert wine which has been favorably compared to the famed Chateau d'Yquem. It is extremely rare, as it can only be produced under the perfect weather conditions that create botrytis cinerea, the noble rot that concentrates the juice and sugar in the grapes. Luckily, we will be treated to two vintages of this delectable gem with our dessert course.

To maintain an atmosphere of intimacy, this event will be limited to 60 people. On hand to enlighten us about the cuisine will be Posto's Proprietor, PIERO SELVAGGIO, and Executive Chef, LUCIANO PELLIGRIENI.

The cost for this "Evening to Remember" is $85.00 each for the member and the first guest, all inclusive; additional guest and non-member reservations am $90.00 each. Since space is limited, we encourage you to make your reservations promptly. Full payment must accompany your reservation. No tickets are issued; you will be notified if your reservation cannot be accepted. Cancellation deadline for full refund is February 23.
