Always looking to be timely when planning our events, we have gathered five wineries, four guests and 13 outstanding wines to make our "MIDSUMMER SEMINAR" on Thursday, August 16, 2001, a truly special evening.

We will premiere the long-awaited Silver Oak 1997 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon; the new Arns 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon; Equus an exciting new brand from top-notch Wild Horse Winery; several new releases from Wild Horse; and the wines of Consilience, a new and rising star in Santa Barbara County.

Our personable and knowledgeable guests will include: KEN VOLK, proprietor and winemaker of Wild Horse and Equus; SANDI BELCHER, co-proprietor and winemaker of Arns; SUSAN CANNON, West Coast Sales Manager of Silver Oak; and BRETT ESCALERA, co-proprietor and winemaker of Consilience. They will lead us through a fascinating seminar of their superb wines, which are not only tasty, they are priced right - 11 are under $25.00, six of which are under $20.00!

So come join us as we present Silver Oak (great Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley), Arns ("super cult" Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain in Napa Valley), Wild Horse (one of the Central Coast's finest and most complete wine estates), Equus ("Home of the Rhone" from Wild Horse), and Consilience (exceptional hand-crafted wines from Santa Ynez Valley).

Our "Midsummer Seminar" will be held in the newly remodeled Hidden Hills Room of the Warner Center Marriott (just off the lobby). You are most welcome to bring your friends and there will be no extra charge for non-members. The cost for this event is $30.00 per person. Full payment must accompany your reservation. No tickets are issued; you will be notified if your reservation cannot be accepted. Cancellation deadline for full refund is August 14. While bread and cheese will be served, we recommend that you have dinner prior to the event. The Marriott's Parkside Café serves excellent Early-Bird Dinners.
